Book a Day

Today is #WorldBookDay – books have always been a big part of my life, when i was younger i remember i used to spend many an hour in the public library, devouring any book that came my way. Whether it was Roald Dahl, Pablo Picasso or Paul Smith (his random design books are awesome!) reading has always come naturally to me.

But as i got older reading fell by the wayside as i picked up new habits such as girls, football and grime. Thankfully through the power of podcasts and various reading list i picked up the habit of reading again last year, and as with most things i get into i went a bit crazy and started reading 3 books a month, totalling at 36 books in the year. To avid bookworms that’s not much, but for someone like me, it was a huge leap from reading the odd book here and there.

The changes it’s made to my life have been astronomical, my outlook and philosophical leanings are way different then what it was a couple years ago and i have to say, i’m in a much better place for it! It might sound a bit wanky, but i honestly think you can never lose money investing a couple of books. You don’t have to go crazy like me, but allowing yourself to read around various subjects of interest and most importantly understanding different perspective different from you own, will eventually turn you into a far better human being.

Above is reading list for February/March;
